The Mechanism That Industrial Transfer Promotes Urbanization

Currently, the transfer of industry to the central and western regions from China’s eastern coastal is speeding up. At the same time, the construction of new-type urbanization of China is in full swing. Therefore, to explore the internal mechanism of the promoting of urbanization by industrial transfer has a great practical significance. In addition, Chongqing currently faces the dual task of rural comprehensive reform and construction of inland open area, accepting the transfer of industries to promote urbanization in Chongqing is undoubtedly an important way to solve the dual tasks simultaneously. Therefore, this article chooses Chongqing as an example to study the mechanism in detail.this article teases out the mechanism of the promoting of urbanization by the transfer of industry from the micro, meso and macro levels. Then, this paper use Chongqing as an example to verify the mechanism by three steps. The first step in the empirical analysis studies the factors causing urbanization of Chongqing The second step teases out the path of the promoting of urbanization by industrial transfer in Chongqing by combining the effect of industrial transfer and the factor of activating the urbanization of Chongqing. The third step uses the data of industrial transfer and urbanization to undertake a quantitative analysis. The results of analysis show that industrial transfer is the Granger cause of urbanization. Finally, by studying the current situation of the urbanization of Chongqing, the paper puts forward some policy suggestions about the way how Chongqing promote its urbanization by accepting the industrial transfer from outside.
