Optimization Of Petroleum Enterprise-wide Risk Management In The Information Environment

With the rapid development of information technology, human society has entered theera of information technology and knowledge-based economy. The application ofinformation technology brings unprecedented opportunities for companies, as well asincreased risks. Therefore, in the information environment, enterprise-wide risk managementis particularly important. Affected by the information environment, the range、goal andmeans of enterprise risk management have changed, traditional risk management methodscan not meet the needs of enterprise risk management. In order to prevent and control risksbrought by enterprise information and other risks in a better way, companies must improveand optimize the traditional risk management accordingly.This paper used the risk management theory, agency theory, stakeholder theory andenterprise warning management theory as the guiding ideologies. According to the currentsituation of enterprise information and risk management, this paper used standardized andsystematic method to analyze the enterprise-wide risk management of petroleum enterprisein information environment. This paper also pointed out the problems faced by the petroleumenterprise with the changing of information environment. According to the provision of"Central Enterprise-wide Risk Management Guidelines", this paper proposed theoptimization methods for enterprise risk management. At last, this paper chose CNPC as theexample to illustrate how to optimize enterprise-wide risk management. This paper willprovides theoretical basis and practical guidance for petroleum enterprises to optimizeenterprise-wide risk management.This paper mainly explores the following questions:(1) effects of enterpriseinformatization on enterprise-wide risk management, including opportunities and challenges;(2) the current situation of petroleum enterprise information and risk management and thekey problems with the current enterprise-wide risk management;(3) how to use informationtechnology to optimize the current enterprise-wide risk management for petroleumenterprises. The main result is that information technology does bring new risks forcompanies, but they should avoids kill and take the advantages of information technology tooptimize the current enterprise-wide risk management and improve the level of riskmanagement. Only in this way, can companies develop continuously.
