Since the collapse of the Bretton Woods System, gold gradually stepped into the stageof market-oriented pricing. Due to the price of gold no longer pegged to the dollar, theprice began to change radically. Because the gold has both the goods attribute and themonetary attribute, its pricing mechanism is also different from ordinary commodities.Therefore, the price of gold has also become the focus of attention and research of scholarsat home and abroad. In recent years, the gold price is influenced by many factors, andexperienced the different degree of rise and fall. Under the background of new economy,the influential factors on the price of gold have become the hot issue. And as goldinvestment come into the life increasingly, the future of gold price trend analysis isparticularly important. Only grasp the changes in the price of gold, can our investors avoidthe risk of price fluctuations, and gain more benefits as much as possible.This paper firstly mainly studies the theoretical factors that affect the internationalprice of gold, then researches gold prices for nearly30years of empirically. Under thebackground of the severe change of the gold price, this article divides nearly30years ofthe gold price into two stages, namely gold prices and gold prices decline phase. Throughthe empirical research of the stage of rising and falling gold prices, we can find that underdifferent price trends, the factors that affect the price of gold is different. So it shows us thegist to predict the future of gold price movements. At the end, based on the current worldeconomic environment, the article is briefly predict the future of gold price movements onthe basis of the conclusion above empirical test. For the gold investors,the gold productionenterprise, and about the country gold reserve aspects,this paper puts forward thecorresponding policy recommendations.
