As an ideologist who questioned the essence of modern technology, Heideggeronce evaluated Marx in his book Letter on Humanism in the following words,“whenMarx realized alienation, he dig into the historic essence. In this sense, Marx’s historyis superior to other histories.” That means Marx not only realized alienation, but alsorevealed the process, consequence and premise of historical development of machineindustry. Moreover, he analyzed that machine industry is the practically historicalmethod to sublate labor’s subordination to capital. Marx inquired the historicaldevelopment of machine industry from the viewpoint of technology. He distinguishedthe nature of machines and tools. Marx pointed out that the distinction betweenmachines and tools is not only in the aspect of technology, but also in the mode ofproduction. Therefore, Marx raised all the stages of machine industry development outof the transformation of capitalistic mode of production. That is to say, Marx’s criticaltechnology is the historical technology. Machine industry is not only the new stage ofthe development of human manufacturing technology, but also the completion result ofthe transformation of capitalistic mode of production. Marx questioned theconsequence of the historical development process of machine industry. He seized theworkers’ one-dimension that exists in reality from realistic transformation ofcapitalistic mode of production. Therefore, Marx’s critical anthropology is thehistorical anthropology. Marx’s critical technology and critical anthropology is on thepremise of critical capital. He analyzed the premise of historic development ofmachine industry from the perspective of capital, and he also revealed the materialbasis of capitalistic society existence from realistic transformation of capitalistic modeof production. Critical capital is the historical capital. Marx analyzed the developmentof machine industry from the angle of historic essence. It can be concluded thatmachine industry is both the cause of the dependence of the labor on capital and also the root of social alienation. Meanwhile, the machine industry could sublate thedependence of the labor on capital and also the social alienation, and it is the practicalapproach to make mankind step towards freedom and liberation and get out of the stateof one-sided and illiberality.
