Nowadays, with the change of natural and social environment and the growingand concentration of human wealth, the socio-economic impact of disasters isbecoming increasingly significant. In this context, as a social stabilizer of insuranceenterprises, how to through bearing the social responsibility to heal the social andeconomic impact of disasters, is an important theoretical and practical problem.Insurance is a business model which is formed through mutual aid society mechanismproviding specialized risk management, and it is the basic means of risk managementunder the condition of market economy. With the constant progress of the society, thefunction of the insurance industry plays an increasingly multi-role in the stability ofsocial and economic, especially in creating a harmonious socialist society.Compensation insurance, financing and social management features make theinsurance industry bear more special responsibility, the state gives its mission is alsomore significant.As the background of the continuous development of our country finance andinsurance industry, this paper analyzes and explores the social responsibility problemsof the insurance enterprises in our country. Firstly, the social responsibilities of ourcountry’s insurance corporate are discussed; secondly, the lack reason of socialresponsibilities of our country’s insurance corporate is analyzed and find out thereason; thirdly, with reference to the social responsibility case of the United States andJapan insurance enterprises, and combined with the actual situation of insuranceenterprises in China to find the gap and problems; Finally, specific measures andmethods to promote our insurance enterprises to fulfill social responsibility arestudied.As an important part of our national economy, the insurance enterprises bearmajor responsibility on economic compensation, social management and financialintermediation. Nowadays, our country is in a critical period to create a harmonioussocialist society, social responsibility of the insurance companies has become animportant discussion topic of many officials and academics, and the purpose is toestablish the direction of the efforts and provide real theory instruction, for ourcountry insurance business in the future how to fulfill the social responsibility, fromthe perspective of social responsibility is to enhance the economic and social status of the insurance companies, establish a good social image, get social respect, response tomarket competition, seek scientific development, provide some decision reference andfurther enrich the theory of corporate social responsibility in our country.In short, the social responsibility of the insurance enterprises is not only animportant subject which is needed to pay attention by the current theory research, butalso a realistic problem urgently to be solved in the development of our country’seconomic and social.
