The Construction Of An Advantage In IPRs Of Jiiin Provincial Technological Innovation Enterprises

In the21st century, global economic integration has been increasingly evident. Withfurther intensified competition in domestic and foreign markets, intellectual property hasbecome a core element for enterprises to participate in the competition. More and moredomestic enterprises start to consider mastering core technologies in key areas throughself-dependent innovation and transfer this into an advantage for Intellectual Property Rights(IPRs), which helps to gain superiority in market competition as well as access to substantialeconomic benefits.As one of the old industrial bases in northeast region, Jilin Province has its ownadvantages for development. At the age of knowledge economy nowadays, Jilintechnological innovation enterprises, however, must change the mode of the traditionaleconomic development and get rid of the disadvantages through IPRs. In this way, it candevelop high-tech industries and construct an advantage in IPRs proper for their owndevelopment. Therefore, according to the features of enterprises in Jilin technologicalinnovation, this paper proposes a building model of an advantage in IPRs for them.Based on the analysis of technological innovation, technological innovation enterprises,intellectual property, an advantage in IPRs and other theories as well as present analysis ofthe application of IPRs at home and abroad, this paper comes up with seven elements tobuild an advantage in IPRs, including IPRs elements of resources, system, self-dependentinnovation, operation, management and protection, talent, and culture, with their relevanceanalyzed. Under this circumstance, the paper proposes the principles and process ofconstructing an advantage in IPRs, and ultimately established its model.Availability of this model is proved by empirical studies for the analysis of the statusquo in the application of IPRs in Jilin Province and the construction in IPRs of Jilin YongZhong Corporation. Through discoveries of problems and deficiencies, the final proposals ofbuilding an advantage in IPRs for technological innovation enterprises in Jilin Province aremade. I hope this model can improve the level of technological innovation enterprises in Jilin Province and their market share in IPRs, in order to gain competitive advantages andeconomic benefits.
