Automotive industry of Jilin Province is the cradle of the New China’sautomotive industry. In2013, China First Automotive Group Corporation, located inChangchun in Jilin Province, celebrated its60th anniversary. As the first batch ofmanufacturing base, First Automotive Works burdened with the historical mission.Through its60years, a number of well-known brands, such as liberation, wind, wind, were born there. Automotive industry of Jilin Province can be described asthe witness of the new Chinese automotive industry, who is changing from weak tostrong, and it writes a glorious history. The automotive industry is a pillar industry in Jilin. In2012, in Jilin, the outputof automotive manufacturing accounted for27.7%of output of whole industry, andplayed a significantly role in pulling up the economy. Science joined the WTO,automotive industry of China resisted the pressure from the international automotivemarket, and has experienced a period of explosive growth. The production ofautomotive in Jilin province increased from528700in2002to1975600in2012. Thenumber of parts enterprise in automotive manufacturing in Jilin breakthrough400in2012, furthermore, around two vehicle manufacturers, FAW and Volkswagen, theindustry cluster effect previews. The number of civilian cars grew from475700in2002to2250900in2012. In summary, the automotive of Jilin province has shown asense of prosperity. However, with the rapid economic development, energy and environmentalfollowing issues are increasing prominent. Particularly Beijing and other regions appeared persistent fog and haze since2012, environmental issues, such as PM2.5,were pushed to the cusp of public opinion, triggered concern of the whole society.Early in2003, British Energy White Paper Our energy future: creating a low-carboneconomy, the concept of low-carbon economy proposed the first time. The conceptof sustainable development and the pursuit of win-win economic developmentpatterns of economic development and environment were quickly recognized by theinternational community. Chinese economic development is tremendously harmful toenvironment. The economic development model of high energy consumption, highpollution and high emission clearly doesn’t meet the objective requirements oflow-carbon economy. Automotive industry is the old-fashioned pattern. Therefore,to optimize, upgrade and low-carbonize the industry structure are imperative. This thesis based on the current economic background, from the perspective oflow-carbon economy, viewed automotive industry of Jilin province as the researchobject, evaluated the level of low-carbon economic development of automotiveindustry of Jilin province and then analyzed the impact of carbon emission factors. Atlast, the author revealed the degree of influence of the factors on carbon emissions inJilin Province. Each chapter reads as follows:The first chapter explained the background of the thesis, research methods, datasources, innovation and other content. The second chapter sorted and summarized the relevant literature. Collected andanalyzed practical experience in automotive industry of developed countries such asthe United States, Japan and the European Union. Found their successful experiencein the low-carbonized transition of automotive industry. The third chapter analyzed the energy consumption and carbon emissions ofautomotive industry in Jilin Province. Used factor analysis method to establish aevaluation model from the industrial economy, energy saving and recycling, whichcontains15indicators. Evaluated30provinces (except Tibet, Hong Kong, Macao andTaiwan) through the model and revealed the level of low-carbon economic development of automotive industry in Jilin Province. The fourth chapter sorted carbon emissions factors of automotive industry.According to co-integration theory, choose5factors to make a co-integration equationto test their long-term equilibrium relationship. Through pulse analysis, observecarbon emissions of Jilin Province in response to a pulse of one standard deviationinnovation to the four factors. The fifth chapter, based on the result of foregoing, put forward somecountermeasures and suggestion of low-carbonized transformation from the greengrowth of vehicle population, clean production factors, consumer factors and energyefficiency.
