The impact of greenhouse gas emissions caused by human activities on climate change has become a reality. The issues of carbon emissions is not noly the environmental but also the survival and the development problems, which has been increasingly confirmed by more sciences. With the increase of the relevant activities in the field of climate change and carbon reduction, the cooperative communication is more in-depth and wide, and the Carbon Emissions of energy consumption and emission reduction measures are focused by many scholars.According to the statistics, the residential energy consumption has become an important source of Carbon Emissions growth, the impact of residents' living energy Carbon Emissions can not be ignored. As the urban and rural residents in the consumer behavior and consumption patterns have some differences, this paper from the urban and rural perspective to explore the residents' carbon emissions.Based on the relevant statistics, this paper evaluates the direct and indirect Carbon Emissions of urban and rural residents' living energy consumption in western China from 2000 to 2014,discusses the influencing factors of residents direct carbon emissions, and using the method of SDA to studies the influence of residents indirect carbon emissions. The results are as follows:the Carbon Emissions of residents' energy consumption in western China is rising trend, the indirect Carbon Emissions of residents energy consumption is the main source of the total carbon emission, and the growth rate is obvious, the indirect Carbon Emissions of residents in 2007 and 2012 was 23776.02 wan tons and 33457.74 wan tons respectively. The Carbon Emissions of residents' living energy consumption in urban is higher than that of rural residents, and which gap is increasing. In per capita carbon emissions, per capita carbon emissions in urban is greater than that in rural. In the structure of residential energy consumption carbon emissions, the residents direct carbon emissions of residents'energy consumption changed from coal-based to oil-based,especially gasoline carbon emissions has the fastest growth,The annual average growth rate from to 2014 is 18%.In the residents of indirect carbon emissions, electricity, housing, transportation and communication, health care and food items accounted for the largest proportion. In terms of factors influencing the carbon emissions of residents' life energy consumption:population size, urbanization rate and carbon intensity are the driving forces of direct carbon emission. The main driving factors of residents' indirect carbon emissions are:carbon intensity Which is an important driving force to reduce the increase of carbon emission. The population effect of the urban is also driven by the increase of the carbon emissions of the urban residents. Therefore, improve production technology to reduce emissions intensity, change the the residential consumption structure, accelerate the optimization of energy structure, and increase the use of clean energy, etc.are effective ways to reduce residents' carbon emissions.Second, advocate residents to cultivate low-carbon reasonable consumer awareness. Finally, the carbon emissions from the residents energy consumption of residents in western China will also increase as the living standard of residents rise and the lifestyle changes. It is hoped that the study of this paper will provide some theoretical basis for the carbon emission reduction in the western region of China.
