In recent years, Hui Studies centering on Huizhou has been hot in historical researches,yet the issue of local finance in Huizhou is less mentioned.Among multitudinous documents,Silk Book by Cheng Renqing is a relaitively new historical document in which there are substantial charging documents recording the whole process of conflicts led by the particular silk tax in Huizhou from the fourth year of Longqing to the first year of Wanli.So far,the academia has paid little attention to the issue above.Thus this article is to explore every aspect of the silk conflicts andlocal finance at that time by refering to the historical documents including local chronicles and Huizhou Fu-I Ch’uan-shu.In general, the government of Huizhou in Ming Dynasty satisfied8779Cloth silk shared by subordinates six counties, the fact is borne by Shexian, but also recognize the dynasty two centuries satisfied. Silk, of course, the resulting dispute, the result is a win-win situation between the central government and local government, Huizhou ease the financial burden of two thousand five hundred and thirty-two, from the side that the country’s fiscal strength and a whip method successfully.
