Comprehensive Evaluation And Analysis On The Vulnerability Of Wuhan Metropolitan Region

With the development of global environment change research, people pay more attention to the research of the vulnerability. At present, the vulnerability is being used in the research of global environmental change. With the improve of the concept of vulnerability and expand of the vulnerability research perspective, vulnerability research has become the core content of science and sustainable development. Vulnerability assessment also is one of the frontiers of science of nature-economy-society coupling interaction system.Since the modern times, with the appear of resources and environmental problems in the process of economic and social development constantly, the realization of economic, social, resources and environment sustainable development has become the final goal of the of regional development. As the important annulus of rise of central China strategy, Wuhan metropolitan region plays an important role in the development of the region. With the research of vulnerable status of economy, society, resource and environment system of Wuhan metropolitan region, find the temporal and spatial variation of vulnerability and clear affecting factors of vulnerability, this research has important practical significance to guide the Wuhan City Circle "two oriented society" construction.This paper constructs the vulnerability evaluation index system according to the actual concept of vulnerability and Wuhan City Circle and analyse the vulnerability spatial and temporal characteristics of economy, society, resource and environment of Wuhan city circle with vulnerability assessment model. Then, with the triangle methodology, this paper divide the vulnerability of Wuhan city circle types and study the vulnerability relation between the regional economy, society, resources and environment. According to the different types of the vulnerability of city, this paper discusses the measures of the Wuhan city circle vulnerability, and provide decision-making basis for the Wuhan City Circle "two oriented society" construction.According to the research, this paper draws the following conclusion:(1) Seen from space, the vulnerability index, economy, society, resources and environment subsystems vulnerability of Wuhan city circle have different characteristics in different space. The vulnerability level of city circle and the social system higher overall. Economic system vulnerability of Wuhan city is optimal, the formation of four major plate obvious. The vulnerability of resources and environment subsystem has obvious core-edge structure. At the same time, the space of differentiation each subsystem is also in constant flux. In ten years, the economy, society, resources and environment fragility of most city are lifting. The vulnerability of economic and social system in Huanggang and the resources and environment system in Wuhan is extremely stable and high.(2) From the time perspective, the vulnerability of Wuhan City Circle is fluctuations decrease and2004-2007is a volatile period.(3) From the influence mechanism, Economic subsystem is effected greater by Labor productivity, per capita GDP, the proportion of high-tech industries, financial self-sufficiency rate, the degree of dependence on foreign trade, investment in fixed assets density. The society subsystem is effected greater by the income of rural residents, urban and rural income ratio, investment in capital construction. Resources and environment subsystem is effected greater by Industrial SO2emissions, industrial dust emissions and emissions of industrial waste water.(4) From the perspective of vulnerability type of Wuhan city circle type, different city has different vulnerability types due to different development conditions. All cities can be divided into E-type, ER-type, ES-type, ESR-type.(5) With the observation of Wuhan city circle type fragile, we can find that economic system plays a dominant role in the economic, social, resources and environment sub system. If the city is high social or environmental system vulnerable, its economic level are not high, and the industrial structure is backward. the fragile economic system will make the protection of social development and resource environment become "passive water" and hinder the improvement of living standards of residents because of the lack of financial support.
