In recent years, the industry of Chinese insurance was developing rapidly, in2013China is the fourth largest insurance market in the world, it is also one of the most potential area of insurance in the world. The enormous market needs the insurance practitioners with better quality. Due to the system of insurance agent in China started late, lots of problems exist in insurance agents, such as low personal quality, lack of occupation accomplishment and lack of personal credit. These problems directly affect the impression of insurance company and the insurance industry in China. Nowadays, improving the quality of insurance agents is not only the important factors of standardizing insurance market but also the key to improving the competitiveness of insurance company.This study got the dimension of insurance agent’s career maturity through the method of literature review and interview method. I created the measuring tool for insurance agent group. Based on the characteristic of insurance agents, I analyzed career maturity of insurance agents in some companies, made the conclusion about the characteristic of career maturity of insurance agents and the correlation between personal factors and career maturity. The conclusion is:First, of all the dimension, the scores of the role of cognitive, organizational adaptability and emotional control are low, the score of vocational emotion and professional competence are high. Second, the career maturity of female insurance agents are higher than that of male’s. Third, the career maturity of the agents with awards are higher than the agents without any award. Fourth, the factors of age and qualification have no correlation with career maturity. Fifth, The most serious problems of career maturity of insurance agents are:they are lack of subject consciousness; lack of subject initiative and the recruit system of company is not perfect.The conclusion of this study can make some valuable suggestions for developing insurance agents, First, the insurance company should pay more attention on agents’ training of professional moral and belief; Second, insurance company should take method to increase subject consciousness of insurance agents; Third, insurance company should develop their recruit system to hire better agents; Fourth, insurance company should develop their training system to increase the staffs’professional quality;Fifth,company should develop their incentives system in order to let the staff be better.
