Enterprise internationality and performance is one of the core topics of international business and a lot of scholars have paid attention to it. They use different research methods such as empirical study and qualitative research to discover the relationship between corporate internationality and performance.With the development of economic globalization, more and more Chinese enterprises began to expand from the domestic market to overseas which illustrate that the process of internationalization of Chinese enterprises is going further. As a developing country with rapid economic development, the internationalization of Chinese enterprises has its own distinct characteristics. So the paper selects686manufacturing corporates operating cross-border business in China’s Shanghai and Shenzhen listing as the research object and discovers the relationship between Chinese corporate internationality and performance by the summarization of previous research results, the analysis of the current situation of China’s enterprise internationalization and the empirical research based on686manufacturing corporates operating cross-border business in China’s Shanghai and Shenzhen listing. Compared with previous studies, the author put the data into different categories by degree of internationalization and manufacturing sub-sectors, attempting to provide a more meaningful guidance for the internationalization of Chinese enterprises.The empirical results show that:(1) In general, the internationalization of Chinese enterprises will affect business performance (ROA).(2) The different degree of internationalization of Chinese enterprises has different impact on their business performance (3) industry characteristics is one of the key factors that impact the relationship between corporate internationality and performance.
