China’s old-age insurance is the most important part of whole social security system; people give more and more attention about its performance. With the development of the system, its coverage is expanding; the number of insured people is increasing. By aging population, China’s old-age insurance is under stress. Its performance will affect people’s lives, even social harmony.This paper reviews the relevant literature, examines the evolution of old-age insurance system, defined the meaning of old-age insurance. Learn from scholars’ theoretical results; study the performance of old-age insurance, based on the theory about public sector performance evaluation and Data Envelopment Analysis.Use C2R model and BC2model of DEA and statistical data of31provinces in2012, analysis the performance of old-age insurance. And then, analysis the performance use DEA-Malmquist index model with statistical data from2007to2012. Trying to evaluate the performance of old-age insurance and improve it.
