The beginnings of the organic movement can be traced back to the beginning of the1800s. In1840Justus Von Liebig developed a theory of mineral plant nutrition. Organic products, which can simply be defined as products grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, are attractive to many consumers because of both their perceived and actual qualities. Organic consumers place significant value on food quality, nutrition, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare. This paper studies and measures the effect of several factors on the behavior of the consumers who purchase organic food products respectively in China and Benin. It particularly investigates the purchase behavior in the light of variables such as health consciousness, perceived quality and value, concern over food safety, ethical concerns, price premium and trust in labeling. The paper has found out that both organic food consumers in China and Benin have good knowledge about but prefer to buy their products either straight from the farmers or supermarket chains rather than organic food shops or others.Though, quantitative method has been of choice for this paper, it also has been supported by primary and secondary data. Primary data are from the survey through which structured questions are defined and designated to only organic consumers.
