Industrial Economic Transformation Of Resource Based City Wuhai

Wuhai, built in1976, is an energy based industrial city after the almost40years’ reform and development. It enjoys the economic pattern major in energy, chemical industry, building materials and specific metallurgy, with a selective expansion of machinery, light industry and suburban agriculture. Give priority to develop novel comprehensive chemical engineering industry to forge a base of coal chemical industry and chemical industry for making chlorine and alkali, forming an characteristic economy.However, in recent years, with the further strengthening of national macro-control and the gradual perfection of market economy, deep contradiction in the industrial structure of Wuhai industry gradually revealed, extensive primary processing, shortage of coal, water, land resources and limited environmental capacity restricts the sustainable development of industrial economy. It is hard to do better resources allocation because of bad industrial cooperation and complementary, low level of production technology and technical equipment are being restricted by the adjustment of national industrial policy. Due to these, Wuhai industrial economic development is forced to transform and upgrade.Wuhai, as an example, is an industrial economic based city. I will do a further research on how to get rid of "resources-resources-environment deterioration and resource exhaustion" fate by complete the economy transformation when it is still enjoys the resources advantage. This paper takes the second industry as its starting points, and then carries out continuous optimization of industrial structure, extending the industrial chain and boosting the resources multipurpose utilization to promote industrial transformation from extensive to intensive fundamental development of industrial economy growth. On the other hand, we will boost the service sector, accelerate the integration process as well as the cultural tourism industry to push forward the process of transformation from resource-based city to the functional maturation, graceful environment and more livable city of Wuhai.
