Adjust The Eastern Economic Policy Evaluation After German Unification

The reunification of German has been twenty-five years， which remindstremendous impact to itself, Europe even the whole world. It not only has made acontribution to the peace and development of the world, but also has become animportant factor to the new world economic Patten development. However, the regionof German has been facing with difficult task of economic transformation andreconstruction. After twenty years of development, the region of East German hassuccessfully completed the transformation from a planned economy system to amarket economy system. The people’s living standards has been improvedsignificantly due to revitalization of economy. The integration of economy betweeneastern and western region of German has been completed at first. However, somenegative effects have rising during the process of policy adjustment in the region ofEast German. For example, the financial burden has been even worse; theunemployment rate is rising and some social problems also. Although these problemsexist, we should see that a wealth of experience in economic development has beenaccumulated in German.Chinese researchers have been studying issues related to the economictransformation and reconstruction of east region of German after German’sreunification. This paper mainly studies the policy of transformation andreconstruction of east region of German. By analyzing the pros and cons of policy, wecan learn a series of lessons and at the same time it will provide useful information forour country’s reform and opening up.This paper includes the analyzing about theory of economic transformation andeconomic policy, the economic situation before the reunification of German, theprogress and objective of the reunification of German and comments on the specificpolicies which related to the economic transformation and reconstruction of east region of German. This article will focus on the economic transformation andreconstruction policies of east region of German.After over thirty years of reform and opening up, China’s economy hasdeveloped rapidly. And the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics has maderemarkable achievements. However, the problem of imbalance between urban andrural economic development is still a crucial problem. Study on the economic policiesof east region of German will give us positive revelation.
