Container marine transportation is the main mode of international trade, obviously, the international multimodal transport naturally is the most important part; intermodal containers as the main carrier, with the different modes of transport carried out in accordance with the transfer function by the different rules. In container marine transportation, freight dock transport:trailers, waterway barge and rail, but how to achieve effective link between several modes of transport, not only about the problem of customer logistics costs, but also on terminal operations efficiency, supporting the integration of resources also very important.Dongguan COSCO (ie South China COSCO International Freight Co., Ltd. Dongguan Branch) as COSCO Container marine Co., Ltd.(referred to as "COSCON") in southern Dongguan area on behalf of the owner, are responsible for the affiliated South China COSCO container ports in foreign trade Liner of supply marketing tasks, and providing logistics solutions for shippers. Pin Yan Railway route is another transport mode of Yantian Port, which connect with National railway (Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway, Beijing-Kowloon Railway).the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway have set up branch in Shilong Town&Changpin Town. For a long time, as lack of integration of third-party logistics companies involve, this part of advantages in rail transportation could not play very well in Dongguan, which city name as world’s plant. This thesis is in Dongguan COSCO logistics company integrating body, around Dongguan, Shenzhen Yantian and supply business groups to design mode of operation of the program set in Hong Kong, the company aims to reduce logistics costs and collaboration to maximize social and economic benefits.In this thesis, based on the theory of cost control and international logistics management mode and analysis on the cost of the status on Dongguan COSCO combined with customer request, design Dongguan COSCO’s new service offerings-Land rail transport mode, and have deep consideration by their characteristics, operation mode, business processes, then analyze the cost structure of the two transport mode to ensure that the owner of the enterprise and Dongguan, COSCO get the cost savings, and finally establish processes of land railway transport service and Container-Terminal Multimodal transport mode, while on the establishment and implementation of a new model in strategic partnership control, avoidance of negative factors and ancillary support measures in detail elaboration. Believes that will enhance core competitiveness and improve COSCO service levels and active impact.
