In recent years, the corrosion caused by CO2 has became more and more serious in oil and gas industry, the imidazoline corrosion inhibitors are widely used for its excellent performance in inhibiting corrosion caused by CO2.The traditional craft of produce imidazoline corrosion inhibitor has many shortcomings, for example, high energy consumption, raw material utilization and yield is low. Therefore, develop new synthesis process of imidazoline corrosion inhibitor become a trend.The imidazoline corrosion inhibitors synthesized in this paper was hydroxy lauric imidazoline.Three synthetic methods has designed in this paper:low temperature reaction, methanol reaction and microwave reaction, the optimum cond ition of synthesizing corrosion inhibitor is determined by the single factor combining orthogonal test method. Studied the inhibitor LAH inhibitory performance with the inhibitor’s concentration, temperature and corrosion time by weight-loss experiment in 5% NaCl CO2 saturated, inhibitor LAH film coverage,dispersibity test, inhibitor partitioning, emulsion tendency also has been test, the synergy effect between the inhibitor LAH and other corrosion inhibitors was studied.The result proved that, the methanol reaction has short reaction time, high raw material utilization and high yield compared with low temperature reaction. Due to limitations of current technology, microwave reaction can not achieve mass production of corrosion inhibitor. Utilize IR to make primary characterization for HLI synthesized with methanol reaction. The result of weight-loss experiment proved that inhibitor LAH has good performance in 5% NaCl CO2 saturated. The polarization carves proved that compounding between inhibitor LAH and other corrosion was perfect.
