Gas Cylinder refers to the pressure container that used to store gas. It is formed by different pressures, different volumes, different structures and different materials. It possesses traits of permanence, compression, repeatability and easy mobility, and it is widely used to store and convey in the fields of aerospace, family life, transportation, processing and manufacturing, marine operations and military combat. They can be applicable to store permanent, liquefied and dissolved gas. Owing to the limitation of material and equipment, the cylinder size and corrosion resistance to high pressure are still the key points and need to break through in this industry.This paper proposes the production scheme and the experiment of titanium gas cylinder, involves the forming process of titanium cylinder and process route, which is with the purpose of verifying the feasibility of titanium cylinder that can resist corrosion and high pressure. This research probes into middle and small cylinder and then pays more attention to the simulation and experimental analysis of the technology including power spinning of titanium and titanium cylinder convergent. Compared with current process methods of titanium cylinder, the methods with the extrusion and spinning forming can improve the performance, the efficiency of titanium cylinder but reduce the costs of production. The paper aims to study the titanium cylinder production line, spinning process equipment and the titanium alloy spinning, which provides good experiment and practical value.This paper extracts a suitable production program and process methods of titanium cylinder refers to making titanium ingots into titanium cylinders after forging, extrusion, spinning and shut manufacture by means of analyzing the integrations of a large number of documents and practical experience in the production. As a part of pre-study or theoretical study of "The Research of Titanium and Titanium alloy cylinders Spinning", the paper is mainly consulted from existing related study achievements, experience and theories to demonstrate its feasibility.Having done the theoretical analysis of plastic deformation which is influenced by titanium cylinders’spinning, cylinder shut mechanism from several aspects, such as mechanics and kinematics, and then summarized the necessary theoretical preparatory work involving the relational expression of each power spinning pressure and mutual mechanics relationship of two rollers when cylinders necking. This paper also introduces the method of finite element simulation of power spinning and spinning shut forming technology. The stress cloud photograph of work piece, strain cloud photograph were gotten. velocity diagram of metal flow and load diagrams of roller through the3D engineering software to design for the corresponding spinning equipment, the mesh generator to conduct physical processing and meshing and the equipment of plastic forming software to analyze statistics of spinning process simulation. It concludes the relative experimental available data by means of analyzing spinning condition and then comparing Stress-strain; spin pressure and velocity distributions with the theories. Finally, compared with the successful pieces, defective pieces and ordinary pieces in the experiment formed parts; it concludes the feasibility and economy of spinning technology application.
