China is one of several titanium dioxide (TIO2particles) big consumption countries of the world, titanium dioxide grading is more critical part of the processing, machinery and equipment of titanium dioxide grading for independent research and development are little, mainly importing from abroad centrifuge-based, and expensive, manufacturers for titanium dioxide particles proposed grading Decanters proposed classification parameters of titanium dioxide particles, according to demand, the paper finished titanium Decanters drum major structural core components calculation and design parameters, and titanium centrifugal decanter centrifuge drum and flow field theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the main subject of the following aspects of work.(1) According to the titanium dioxide suspension classification parameters glycol, major structural and operating parameters of the design calculations of titanium dioxide grading Decanters drum was finished.(2) Building solid model of drum and auger through geometry parameters, the simulation results show that the maximum stress and deformation of drum and auger meet the requirements of the material yield strength and stiffness, and drum wall thickness and half cone angle of the quality optimization, Obtain the optimal wall thickness of12mm and a half cone angle of9.36°,optimization of the drum after the previous mass decreased by nearly40.2%, improved mechanical performance and economic performance of the drum.(3) To ensure the rollers at high speeds can be safe, the paper drum drum and auger were self-excited vibration analysis, the results of the analysis shows, the drum work speed safely avoid the self-excited resonance speed range.(4) To reduce the number of tests on site grading titanium dioxide particles, using FLUENT for suspension (titanium dioxide particles and ethylene glycol) grading speed, the flow characteristics of multiphase flow simulation, grading effect, trajectory and turbulence characteristics. The simulation results shows that:the best grading speed is300rad/s; obtaining a suspension of work at the speed pressure field (dynamic pressure, static pressure and total pressure) and velocity (settling velocity, week distribution of velocity and axial velocity); got0.5um,1um particle volume fraction and different values in the centrifugal field position changes with time, we can see the effect of graded particles of titanium dioxide particles basically meet classification requirements; got dioxide particle trajectories at different times, to provide a reference for the titanium dioxide particles are graded in the centrifugal field; analyzed suspension turbulence characteristics (turbulence intensity, turbulent kinetic energy, turbulent dissipation rate and wall shear stress) and titanium dioxide particle classification efficiency relation.
