Water body energy, the size of water which connects to the gas reservoir, is usually characterized with water body size, wate body times ratio and the water influx. For water drive gas reservoir, as a result of the formation water coning and tonguing, can cause gas well early water-out, production falls sharply and gas well scraps early. Generally, water drive gas reservoir recovery efficiency is about60%. Therefore, there is a practical and significant meaning to identify the complex gas-water relationship, carry out the gas reservoir’s edge-bottom waterenergy size, identify water influx mode as soon as possible and formulate reasonable development strategy according to the size of the water energy, in order to prevente and control or slow down the edg-bottom water adverse impact of gas field development and improve the gas recovery factor.This paper chose M field as the research object, according to the characteristics of the similiar edge-bottom water reservoirs, studied the edge-bottom water influence on gas reservoir development from multiple aspects, such as geology, gas reservoir engineering and numerical simulation, and carried out the following results:①Based on M field basic geological characteristics, this paper studied the intercalation characteristics and distribution discipline, analyzed the relationship between gas-water contact type, and then adopted volumetric method to estimate the water size of the two kind blocks.②This paper analysed the output water property by using gas reservoir engineering, and mainly regarded the current product as condensate water. Combined with the dynamic production data, this paper distinguished that the current gas reservoir water invasion has not occurred basically through the production index curve and unit pressure drop method of gas.Based on the material balance method of abnormal high pressure system and nonlinear material balance method, the author calculated the gas reservoir water times ratio and water influx, which showed that the gas reservoir water energy was weak.③According to the actual circumstance of gas reservoir, the author established the corresponding mechanism of geological model, studied the invasion of the bottom water, edge water in the gas reservoir under different conditions (especially the influence of the interlayer insulation).3D geological model was established with existing data, and on the basis of geological model, the numerical model was established. The influence of gas recovery rate and the water body size on development was studied, and this paper determined that the reasonable gas recovery rate of gas reservoir was4%-4.5%.
