The eutrophication, which is caused by water body pollution, has become a global problem of aquatic environment. Suzhou,as one of the best famous historical and cultural city, has suffered steady environmental deterioration in its historic district in recent years, which has an negative impact on its urban environment and development. Nowadays, Suzhou has been on the list of shortage cities in water quality. Water degradation has become the bottle neck in the economic and social sustainable development of Suzhou. So, some effective measures must be taken to improve the urban water environment both for the good of people’s health and livelihood.This study focuses on the detection and investigation on the poisonous blue-green algae from the urban river course in Suzhou. The monitoring points are placed along the urban river course, namely the test region, which is the key point of river system and situated in the historic district of Suzhou. The analogue ecological algae control experiment progressed indoors intends to choose the ecological signposts to recognize the eutrophication and ecological remediation effect of the water body, in order to probe into water pollution management process suitable for Suzhou river course and put forward the way and comprehensive control measures to abate the water pollution situation.
