Chlorine dioxide as inorganic peroxide is a strong oxidizing disinfectant. The chlorine dioxide of solid carrier is widely used at present. However, the existing supported chlorine dioxide have many disadvantages such as unstable releasing rate of chlorine dioxide, the short releasing time of chlorine dioxide and short storage time. So, it is necessary to develop a supported chlorine dioxide with sustained-release time and stable release rate.This paper studied the technology for preparation of sustained-release peroxide disinfectant. Firstly, the modification methods of the natural clinoptilolite and activated condisionis for chlorite by transition metal oxide were determined. Secondly, according to the performance requirements of products, the species and dosage of adhesive and stabilizer agent were determined. The best production process of sustained-release peroxide disinfectant was as follow: natural clinoptilolite as solid carrier was modified by 1.0 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution and 1.0 mol/L sodium hydroxide solution. Then, the modified clinoptilolite were roasted in 500 ℃ to load transition metal oxides. The adhesives is xanthan gum and stabilizer is silica gel,and The additive amounts were 8 % and 10 % of zeolite respectively.The content of chlorine dioxide in sustained-release peroxide disinfectant was 10.70 %, the pH value was 9.02. After six days, the product can release chlorine dioxide sustainably with release concentration of 22 mg/m3 for ninety-four days. After heating at 54 ℃ for 14 days, the decline rate of chlorine dioxide content was 5.13 % less than 10 %, which indicated that the storage period of the sustained-release peroxide disinfectant can reach one year. And survey the influence of the temperature and the relative humidity to the liberative rate of the sustained-release peroxide disinfectant.Sustained-release peroxide disinfectant has good performance of formaldehyde removal and disinfection. The formaldehyde removal rate can achieve 100 % and the bacterial inactivation rate to Escherichia coli or Staphylococcus aureus was above 99.9 %.
