Conventional medium-sized winch generally have four axes, namely the drive shaft, the intermediate shaft, the shaft and drum shaft owl, plus a shorter wheel for balance shaft drive, which is the basic structure winch. Modern oil rig winch has made significant progress, breaking the shackles of the basic structure of the emergence of many new winch. But most winch cooling system is relatively backward, low cooling efficiency, can not meet the requirements of the construction site so the design of new rig winch brake cooling system is promising. This article discusses the rig winch development situation at home and abroad on the oil rig winch and content, analyzes the research content and significance. Secondly, in view of the 7000 m rig winch characteristics requirement, the control strategy are studied and discussed, and then decided to adopt the corresponding control method. Again, this paper analyzes the 7000 meters drill winch’s own structure, working principle, working characteristics of the winch, the design criterion of the classification of the winch, according to the above rules winch own design criteria, put forward winch itself and brake cooling system design scheme of each part and the corresponding theoretical design and calculation.Using numerical simulation method 7000 meters drilling rig winch brake cooling system is simulated using both methods Reynolds, using standard ke turbulence model, combined with the standard wall function, simulation testing the cooling properties of this design winch brake cooling system, final conclusion this design 7000 meters drilling rig winch brake cooling system, good cooling performance can meet the needs of the job site.
