Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration is the leading area of social and economic development of Hunan Province. It was approved by national comprehensive reform pilot area for national two type society construction in 2007, which brings opportunities as well as great challenges for its development. Present urban agglomeration is faced with a series of environmental problems, which has become important factors of restricting the sustainable development of urban agglomerations.By using survey data and statistic data, this thesis analyzed status of ecologic environment of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration, made research to its current situation from aspects of land resources usage, water environment characteristics, atmospheric environment quality, natural disasters status and so on, which provided background support of ecological safety evaluation research.For analyzing Severe changes impact on ecological security of this urban agglomeration, this thesis took advantage of remote sensing data of year 2000 and 2010, applied ecology theory and method, selected a series of landscape indices, researched landscape pattern and variation features of this urban agglomeration. At the same time, this thesis analyzed the Landscape ecological security index and its change rule from 2000 to 2010 of this urban agglomeration.On the basis of analyzing ecologic environment status, researching landscape pattern variation as well as landscape ecological security evaluation, by combination of regional environmental characteristics, social and economic development status, this thesis established an ecological security evaluation index system composed of 28 indices. By adopting fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the thesis evaluated ecological safety to this urban agglomeration, the results showed as below:①Ecological security situation of this urban agglomeration is unoptimistic on the whole with no evaluated unit can reach safe or ideal safe level.②From 2000 to 2010, ecological security characteristic value of 7 evaluated units were rising, which means environment was been valued and improved,while economic development and sustainable development level of these cities were keep enhanced.③Among these studied areas, Changsha County and main urban area of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan was with relatively high ecological safety level, which was reflected in high Characteristic value of system response and system state as well as low characteristic value of system pressure; while Wangcheng County, Xiangtan County and Zhuzhou County was with relatively low ecological safety level mainly because of their obviously higher Characteristic value of system pressure.By factor analysis, this thesis found out key impacting indicators of ecological security situation of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration and put forward measures of improve this situation as below:First,develop economy rapidly;Second,increase investment in environmental protection and science and education;Third,control population growth, improve population quality, reduce the pressure to resources and environment;Forth,perfect the construction of urban landscape;Fifth,establish coordination mechanism to environmental development of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration; Sixth,establish and perfect mechanism of public participation and social supervision.
