With the development of society and the improvement of people’s living standard, people have more requirements for the daily consumer plastic products. With the development of science and technology, all kinds of requirements that people would like to meet have been reached by injection moulding that keep updating. we not only need the consumer products can achieve the function they should have, but our requirement for the plastic product’s style and using function is higher and higher, double-color injection molding technology is an advanced injection molding technology that comply with this tendency. The so-called double-color injection molding technology is in the one injection molding machine, two kinds of materials or different color materials was injected into the same mould cavity by sequence to produce a plastic products with different materials or different color. The double color injection molding products always with the features of nice appearance, better structural strength and stable quality, etc. According to the application of products, double color injection molding technology can inject different materials into different section of the same product. To meet the need of certain condition and develop the performance of different materials fully, so we can achieve our aim of prolonging products’ using life, improving the level of appearance and enhancing the practicability.We take double color mobile shell as an example in this paper, taking fully advantage of CAD/CAE technology to built double color mobile shell model to optimize the injection process parameter and the structure of injection mould so that we can obtain the best injection process parameter and mould structure, the designers can do the set of process parameter and the design of mould structure base on the result of optimizing and actual production situation. Traditional double color injection mould is double color injection mould with moving mould rotation. In this paper, we design an new type double color injection mould-double color injection mould with moving mould translation. Because this kinds of double color injection mould have no moving mould rotating system, its size is small, low cost and high efficiency.Base on the CAE software-Moldflow2012 to simulate the injection process of double color mobile shell. At first, we should get the best gate location by simulation analysis, then do the fulfill analysis and confirming the process parameter, taking advantage of orthogonal test to optimize the process parameter and mould structure, obtaining the best process parameter and mould structure. Based on the process parameter and mould structure gain by orthogonal test, making use of the 3D software to design the 3D model of double color injection mould. Because our request for mobile shell is higher, we design this special mould structure that exchanging the position of moving mould and fixed mould, the ejection mechanism will be set at the fixed mould, using hot runner system in the injection of the two parts of the mobile shell and using needle valve gate, by doing this, the first injection will not leave gate mark in the surface of the plastic products, has no effect on the second injection, and the melt has good fluidity and perfect surface quality.
