| KYS-powder, made of oil shale ash widely, whose main composition is SiO2 and other minerals, containing about 20% carbon and 5% macromolecular organic compounds, is a new tape of nanometer rubber-plastic filler. This paper mainly studies its application performance in general rubber, the results as follows:KYS-powder reduces curing rate, extends the scorch time, while crosslink density was reduced. Reinforcement effect of KYS is not ideal compared with carbon black, softening effect and processing performance is good compared with carbon black. The heat oxygen aging resistance of KYS is far from worse than carbon black.The KYS-powder network packing and carbon black network of SBR formed unified whole, which led to lower strain energy at low temperature, higher tensile and tearing strength and better wear resistance, at the same time, the rolling resistance of vulcanizate was effectively decreased without affecting the wet traction, when filled properly(about 20%). The packing gel network can be created easily, the thermal stability of the mixed gum can be improved, and vulcanizate showed more better brittleness and damping effect at the small deformation and low temperature, while dynamic mechanical life was prolonged in a sense, when KYS-powder filled NBR slightly.The best formula of SBR though optimum compounding technique as follows: SBR,100; filler,80(mass fraction of KYS is about20%); ZnO,3.00; SA,1.00; S,1.75; TBBS,0.75; D.0.75; Si69(145℃ high temperature mixing 6min),2.00; RD,2.00; 4010NA,2.The crosslink density of SBR vulcanizate was reduced by equilibrium swelling and DSC test; the filler dispersibility get worse as KYS increased by filler dispersion of carbon black dispersion and SEM test. |
