With the continuous development of cleaning industry, the air cleanliness requirements in cleanroom are constantly improve. To avoid the dust spread in the cleanroom, the most effective way is to wear cleanroom garments. In addition to its basic antistatic performance, the cleanroom fabric should also have good filtering performance. As a cleanroom fabric filtering performance indicator,the particle filtration efficiency directly reflects the dust filtering performance of the cleanroom fabric.Based on the testing system of cleanroom fabric’s particle filtration efficiency, we analyzed the structures and textures which commonly used in cleanroom fabric. Polyester and nylon carbon powder composite conductive fiber were used as raw material Through changed the single factor, We chose different structures such as fabric textures, density, fineness of the yarn, conductive wire spacing. In the experiment, 28 different samples were woven by Automatic Weaving Figuring Machine. Then the particle filtration efficiency of the cleanroom fabrics were tested and analyzed. Then we selected the CFP-1100-AI multifunctional aperture apparatus to test the pore diameter of cleanroom fabric, and explored the relationship between pore size, distribution and the particle filtration efficiency. Experiments show that particle filtration efficiency of the fabric which used 111 dtex yarn is bigger than its use 83 dtex yarn fabric. Keep the rest of the structure constantly, the particle filtration efficiency in descending order is plain weave> 3/2 twill weave> 2/1 twill weave. With the increase of warp/weft tightness, the particle filtration efficiency will increase, and 2/1 twill weave fabric and 3/2 twill weave fabric increased more than the plain weave fabric.The pore diameter of the Cleanroom fabric is much larger than the diameter of the test particle. Compared to the pore diameter between the yarn, the diameter between the fibers is smaller and more widely distributed, it may be considered that the pores between the fibers make a greater contribution to the barrier of dust.This paper respectively discussed the relationship between the particle filtering efficiency and the heat-moisture comfort and washing resistance and layers of the fabric. The experimental results show that the air permeability and moisture permeability of the cleanroom fabric can meet the most basic human comfort requirements, but the heat-moisture comfort and the particle filtration efficiency shows negative correlation. The washing times of the cleanroom fabric had a negative exponent relation with the relative particle filtration efficiency. Through data testing and analysis, we predict the particle filtration efficiency trend along with the increase of layers of fabric.This paper analyzes the relationship between the particle filtration efficiency and the structure, some of the garment factors of the cleanroom fabrics, provides the basis and reference for the design and produce of the cleanroom fabric.
