Potassium monopersulfate triple salt belongs to acidic oxidant and disinfectant. It has high active oxygen content and large solubility in water compared with other alkaline inorganic oxide. The compound salt which is stable is widely used in agriculture, food processing, aquaculture and other areas, so it has a big prospective market.The method of preparing Potassium peroxymonosulfate by sulfuric acid is introduced in the parper. The optimum process condition are:the molar ratio of hydrogen peroxide and concentrated sulfuric acid is 0.6:1, the molar ratio of potassium carbonate and concentrated sulfuric acid is 0.6:1, peroxide reaction temperature is 0℃, neutralization reaction temperature is 8℃, drying temperature is 55℃, cooling crystallization is the crystallization method, HEDP is chosen as the stabilizer of the product and the stabilizer adding amount is 0.8% of the mass of hydrogen peroxide. The yield of this product is beyond to 95% and the active oxygen content of 4.5% under this condition. Every indicator meets the requirement of similar foreign products. For the comprehensive utilization of mother liquor, neutralization reaction of mother liquor is added potassium hydroxide solution to adjust pH value. The reaction solution is concentrated by evaporation and cooling crystallization to obtain potassium sulfate by-product. Experimental results show that the optimum volume ratio of the potassium hydroxide solution and mother liquor is 0.4:1.The process design of 1000t/a potassium monopersulfate triple salt is accomplished in this paper. First, material balance for each unit and energy balance for representative equipments are completed. Secondly, the list of the equipments is formed after type-choosing for standard equipments and process calculation for non-standard equipments. Thirdly, this paper gives the control scheme for typical equipments in unit operations of chemical engineering, and the design for pipes. On the basis of study above, the piping and instrumentation diagram(P&lD) is accomplished. Finally, workshop equipment layout design and piping for the process equipments are presented after P&ID.
