Aiming at the gap of the precision retaining ability for the rolling linear guide vice between home and abroad in the background of the national science and technology project "Research and development of Rolling Components Common Features Technology in High-grade CNC Machine (2012ZX04002021)", method of the testing for the precision retaining ability was proposed and the test and control system of the test-bench was designed, also tests of the precision retaining ability for the rolling linear guide vice were done. The research can provide the detection method and data support of the precision improvement for the rolling linear guide vice.Firstly, the relevant concept of the precision retaining ability for the rolling linear guide vice was defined. Then, the relation and difference between static and dynamic detection were introduced. Also, the correctness of dynamic detection method was analyzed and the existing errors were presented based on the existing test-bench by Bursa-Wolf model.Then, the test and control system of the test-bench was established including hardware and software. The electrical system and sensor installation were designed, and software for the test was written of VB programming. Also, problems in the process of debugging the system were analyzed and solved.Moreover, the relevant test method of rolling linear guide vice was improved. Test plane, test procedures and data processing method were perfect. Finally, the comparison tests of the precision retaining ability for the rolling linear guide vice were implemented and the research test method of the precision retaining ability was put forward.
