Aimming at the precision retaining ability problems of the domestic rolling linear guide vice, the basic theory of precision retaining ability was researched, the relevant precision retaining ability teat machine was designed as well as its test method in the background of the national major science and technology project "Research and devolopment of Rolling Components Common Features Technology", which can provide theoretical basis and detection methods for the precision improvement of the rolling linear guide vice.Firstly, the precision retaining ability concepts and mechanism of the rolling linear guide vice were analyzed and summarized. Then, the route of the precision retaining ability research of the rolling linear guide vice was formulated. Based on Hertz elastic contact theory and Palmgren method, the contact mechanics between the rolling elements and raceway was analyzed, the contact stiffness calculation model was built. The contact area of the rolling element and raceway was analyzed according to Hertz elastic contact theory. Elastic creep rate was calculated according to the motion characteristics. Based on Archard theory, the precision loss model was established.Then, in order to improve the domestic detection technology of the rolling linear guide vice, the test machine was designed. The three-dimensional model of the test machine was established by Pro/E, and the key components were analyzed by ANSYS Workbench. For the measurement and control system, the hardware platform was bulit, and the control software was designed.Moreover, the relevant test method of rolling linear guide vice was proposed and the precision retaining ability evaluation method was given.The specified domestic rolling linear guide vice was measured and its test data was processed to acquire the precision preserve time, which verify the precision loss model of the rolling linear guide vice.
