It is estimated that, the ocean contains more than 70% oil and gas resources of the world, with the continuous advance of industrialization process. The dependence of Crude oil, natural gas on foreign has become increasingly high. From the perspective of national security, our country must be sights on ocean energy development. At present, the world of marine natural gas proven rate was 60.5%, while our country is only 10.9%. Therefore, how to detect this potential energy effectively becomes the primary problem in this strategic task.The paper launched a research on the hardware of undersea "cold seep" acoustic detection system deeply. Firstly, established the hardware architecture and index of the detection system from the theory, analyzed the feasibility of the detection system; Then, designed and produced the hardware circuit of the acoustic signal transmitter and signal conditioning machine, provided in-depth study on the sigma-delta modulation, self-oscillator, power amplifier, dead time control, overcurrent detection, signal demodulation and power supply module circuit of class D power amplifier—the key module of the system, for matching network between power amplifier and transducer array, circuits at all stages of signal conditioning machine carried out in-depth analysis and design. Finally, the design of the system are tested and verified on the lake.The test results of the system detecting bubbles on the lake show that this system can detect the bubbles in the water effectively. The test carried out by changing the transducer attitude and detection frequency, experimental results have been obtained as expected. It also verified the correctness of the hardware system designed in this paper.The difficulties of the paper are:the implementation of high power transmitter based on sigma-delta modulation, broadband matching of transducer array and conditioning machine of time-voltage gain. This paper overcame various difficulties in the design of the hardware circuit of acoustic signal transmitter and signal conditioning machine.
