Ground test is a routine test technique under the condition of dynamic inspection of reservoir. It determines the reservoir production capacity and reservoir physical property. In today’s oil and gas well testing measurement process, application of the three-phase separator ground testing technology has become wider and wider. Along with the further development of oil and gas fields, oil and gas wells, sulfur and high sulfur oil and gas well test of metrological work has been gradually developed as well.Performance, working principle and its using situation of the three-phase separator were first introduced. Process design, equipment material selection and the selection of gas production formula of high sulfur ground test technology were carried out. Due to the toxic and strong corrosion properties of hydrogen sulfide gas, requirements for the use of three-phase separator in the ground measurement process and related ancillary facilities are different from those no-sulfur well. In order to ensure the continuity, accuracy and security of the work of high sulfur well test measurement, combined with the actual situation of field production, modification of the commonly used three-phase separator test process and its equipment was conducted. A field test was then carried out. Experimental data were summarized and analyzed. Overall effect after the project was evaluated.
