The using of starch size is about 70% among all kinds of sizing agents.The researchers also put more and more energy into new modified starch with excellent performance. Antioxidant effect on the oxidation of starch was found in the nineteenth century, China study the performance of oxidized starch in the 1960’s. The production mode of oxidized starch paste are mainly two kinds: one is useing sodium hypochlorite to produce oxidized starch,it leads to water pollution and cost much time. The other is to mix the oxidant and the starch, this approach is characterized by low cost, but the problems is the slurry viscosity is not stable. Therefore, complying with the requirements of green environmental protection, production of environmental protection and with high carboxyl content of the new technology of oxidized starch become the focus of the textile warp size researchers’ work.This topic is studying to produce a new kind of oxidized starch with ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system. Studying the system from the following several aspects of preparing oxidized starch process:(1) Study the mechanism of the ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system of producing modified starch.In the ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system,the bisufite decreased ammonium persulfate-sodium activation energy, and make the ammonium persulfate-sodium in a low temperature. It can decompose the SO4-·, and oxidize the corn starch.(2) Using single factor analysis method, discusses the ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system of process parameters on modification of starch, proved that ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite can reduce starch viscosity, hot viscosity stability is good. By selecting reasonable technological parameters can preparation required viscosity of oxidized(3) Infrared spectrum method is used to study the preparation of the structure of the oxidized starch, the results showed that the preparation of oxidized starch starch in 1723cm- 1 have the C = O stretching vibration absorption peak, shows the presence of carboxyl in the oxidized starch.(4) Using Brabender viscosity meter for the preparation of starch paste was tested, the results show that ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system make the proper viscosity of starch paste, and has good heat stability of viscosity.(5) System test various properties of oxidized starch paste, including its carboxyl content of oxidized starch, anticoagulation, adhesion of cotton roving, serous the rate of moisture absorption rate, water solubility, and rupture strength test, viscosity and viscosity stability of the slurry. And textile mills currently in use of oxidized starch paste performance comparison, the results showed that the oxidized starch paste adhesive of cotton yarn is better, the performance of size film is better than factory currently using oxidized starch(6) By comparing the sizing performance of the oxidized starch with ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system and the factory currently used oxidized starch paste.The starch with ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system has sizing enhancement rate, decrease the rate of stretch is superior to the oxidation of starch sizing effect. In terms of increase rate of grinding, starch with ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system slurry performance outstanding far above the rate of commodity of oxidized starch sizing mill. Through comparing various performance tests, starch with ammonium persulfate-sodium bisufite system showed excellent thickening of grinding, improved the original yarn breaking strength while maintaining its elongation performance, can meet the demand of sizing.In this paper,there are 19 grahs,60 tables and 63 references.
