Objective:This paper established a set of method about the degree of the female hair damage.Methods:The main contents of the method include the following parts: the measurement of adsorption of hair metal ions, scanning electronic microscope analysis and measurement of hair protein loss.Results:The atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) showed that chemical perm would make both of the adsorption of female normal or damaged hair metal ions raise, female normal hair (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) addition adsorption results were 2054,1920,2141,2030mg/kg, female damaged hair (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) addition adsorption results were 2721、 2470,2075,2111mg/kg. The atomic emission spectrometry (AES) also showed that chemical perm would make both of the adsorption of female normal or damaged hair metal ions raise, female normal hair (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) addition adsorption results were 1974、1980,2068,1941mg/kg, female damaged hair (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) addition adsorption results were 2721、2470、2075、2111mg/kg. The scanning electronic microscope showed that the score for the female normal or damaged hair damage significantly increased after chemical perm (p<0.05). The coomassie brilliant blue G-250 method showed that the loss of protein of the female normal or damaged hair were significantly increased after chemical perm (p<0.01). Both the increasing of the adsorption of female normal or damaged hair metal ions and loss of protein of the female normal or damaged hair caused by chemical perm could be significantly reduced by diammonium dithiodiglycolate (p<0.01). The measurement of adsorption of hair metal ions was simple, accurate and sensitive and had been applied satisfactorily for evaluation on chemical perm damage to female normal or damaged hair.Results:The measurement of adsorption of hair metal ions, scanning electronic microscope analysis and measurement of hair protein loss were suitable for use in the chemical perm damage to female normal or damaged hair. The chemical perm damage to female normal or damaged hair was reduced by using diammonium dithiodiglycolate.Comparing with traditional methods, the set of method (measurement of adsorption of hair metal ions, scanning electronic microscope analysis and measurement of hair protein loss) was easier, more accurate and more reliable.
