Gear can be widely used in the machinery industry, its processing and manufacturing quality directly affect the gear can meet the use requirements.In the process of gear manufacturing, heat treatment is the gear machining after a decisive influence on the gear quality link.Especially for spiral bevel gear, its structure is complex, and belongs to the precision of gear, will appear different degree of deformation in the process of heat treatment, and is especially serious in the quenching process.Therefore, for the research of spiral bevel gear quenching process has very important significance.In this paper, based on the basic principle of heat transfer and thermal elastic-plastic theory, using the finite element software Ansys to simulate the quenching process of spiral bevel gears, using the results of the analysis of temperature field and stress field, studied the different process (including quenching medium, oil temperature, quenching temperature) effects on the deformation of the spiral bevel gear, machining accuracy is studied for bevel gear quenching after the influence law of precision, and the measured data were compared with factory. The results show that the cooling of the cooling characteristics of quenching oil and material properties in a specific period of time alignment, the greater the bevel gear quenching distortion is smaller;In the temperature range of quenching oil use, appropriate to improve the oil temperature, can effectively reduce the bevel gear core and the surface temperature difference, thus reduce the quenching distortion;After considering the quenching bevel gear strength and hardness, reduce the quenching temperature, has a significant role for the control of quenching deformation.At the same time, the simulation results show that after quenching accuracy of spiral bevel gears are generally fall in two or three precision grade, consistent with the measured data.
