BaLing petrochemical process units locate in Yunxi area and the urban, respectively. The industrial sewage from Yunxi area is treated by biochemical process in wastewater treatment plants after pretreatment, while the industrial sewage from urban area is mainly caprolactam wastewater. Thus, the treatment processes and conpositions of the wastewater were different in two areas.To effectively treat the industrial sewage from BaLing petrochemical process, and to eliminate the effect of VOCs and nitrogenous industrial wastewater on the environment, it is necessary to analyze the VOCs (volatile’organic compounds) and nitrogenous industrial wastewater on the environment as well as meet the effluent standard requirement, it is necessary to analyze the VOCs and nitrogenous industrial wastewater.In this study, the GC-MS methods on separating VOCs compositions were established—through optimizing conditions of GC-MS, the recoveries of the method was in the range of98.0%-101.4%, RSD was in the range of2.3%~7.2%, which meeted analytic requirement. Meanwhile, we established the analysis method on detecting caproloctam inorganic nitrogenous.The organic compounds and main constituents in the pretreatment wastewater, the influent and effluent of the wastewater treatment plant from Baling petrochemical plant were qualitatively ang semi-quantifictionaly analyzed.In addition,the organic and inorganic nitrogenous proportion in the caprolactam wastewater was quantitively determined. This results provided accurate and reliable data for the removal efficiency of organic pollutant after wastewater treatment and monitoring of industrial wastes discharged into the environment.
