Among the major edible vegetable oil in China, soybean oil accounts for a fairly highproportion. Influenced by natural factors such as climate and soil, soybeans may grow to beimmature soybeans, commonly known as green beans, and the soybean oil which prepared isalso known as green soybean oil. Green soybean prepared by soybean oil contains largeamounts of chlorophyll, nowadays haematochrome and uranidin can be only removed byabsorption of activated clay which be used in the industrial production. Not only in order tosolve the problem of bleaching soybean oil, but also improve the economic benefits of oilprocessing enterprises. This experiment uses green soybeans as raw materials and investigatesthe decoloration effect of resin on chlorophyll in green soybeans.1.An investigation on resin’s static absorption of green soybean oil. First, the green soybeanoil were prepared by degumming and alkali refining.12different kinds of resin were chosen forseparate static absorption decolorization tests on the prepared green soybean oil. Through ananalysis of variance, we found out that HP2MGL had the best performance. Decolourizationratio was71.35%after two absorptions. Repeatedly used resin retained a stable absorptivecapacity.2.An investigation on resin’s dynamic absorption of green soybean oil. A dynamicabsorption test was run with HP2MGL, resin with the best performance in static absorption test.The influence of four factors, including loading rate, temperature, loading concentration andheight-diameter ratio, on the decolorization ratio of green soybeans were investigated. The fourfactors were studied in the quadratic-regression rotatable orthogonal experiment and theobtained best decolorization conditions are: loading rate1.60mL/min, temperature32℃,loading concentration90%and height-diameter ratio90:1. Under the abovementionedconditions, the decolorization ratio of green soybean oil could reach as high as68.91%. It canbe learned from Lovbond colorimetry that HP2MGL has no significant decolorization effect onthe red color and yellow color of green soybeans.3.An investigation on resin dynamic desorption. The influence of four factors, includingdesorption flow rate, temperature, ratio of desorbed mixture, height-diameter ratio on resin’sdesorption effect were studies. And these four factors were investigated in quadratic-regression rotatable orthogonal experiment, from which we obtained the best conditions: desorption flowrate1.20mL/min, temperature30℃, ratio of desorbed mixture8:1, height-diameter ratio90:1.Under these conditions, the desorption ratio of resin could be as high as52.29%. The completedesorption of resin will consume about4column volumes of desorption solution.
