With the increase of mining depth, slope height and slope angle, the high and steep slope is formed. The slope instability, landslide engineering is increasing every year. The problem of slope stability has attracted more and more attention and concern. The slope stability is related to the national property safety and the safety of human life. The consisting of open cast side-slopes is a dynamic engineering. How to ensure the safety of the slope in the process of mining and ensure to maximize the benefits, design optimization of slope is very important.This article takes xiaolongtan buzhaoba open cast side-slopes in and jinchuan Quartz stone pit as examples. It researches on complex stability slope and natural slope excavation in the process of open-pit mining and its control technology, the main research results are as follows:1、Summarizes the existing slope stability evaluation method. These methods are applied to practical engineering.2、Numerical simulation is applied to slope stability analysis, and give the design program.3、Put forward three design programs of342and344slopes. Consider the programs to get the optimal solution.
