Study On The Application And Research Of Geometric Art In Modern Womens Wear Clothing Design

With the development of the society and the progress of the time, more research direction are derived from costume designing, researchers should not on confined to traditionally edition type design, they should devote themselves to develop the modern women’s garment with unique edition type, and make full advantage of geometric design elements to break former traditional ideas, thus they will gradually be promoted to a high level of research theory in clothing.The geometric elements that involved in this paper can be seen everywhere in our daily life and the natural environment. Everything in this world can be designed out through a few of geometric figures, causing people’s unlimited daydream about the geometric figures. This paper applys geometric design element to the edition type clothing with geometric art, thus to create the design works that can meet aesthetic demands of the modern people.This paper aims to make a research on the combination of basic edition type and geometric figures. On the basis of traditional edition type, this paper summarizes garment edition type as geometric figures, turning different planiform geometric edition types into three-dimensional geometric modelings by using such design methods as spell, plug, sewing and roll. The plasticity of different shell fabrics has provided three-dimensional contouring of geometric women ’ s clothing with new and advanced designing thinking. The wearing poly-functionality of this paper has been reflected on that it makes geometric edition type do displacement change by putting one point as the foundation to form newly three-dimensional design modeling to form a whole new visual effect.This paper aims to make a deep research on the application of geometric art on modern women ’ s garment design. The introduction part states the background, significance and purpose of this paper; chapter two analysizes overview of geometric art; chapter three makes a systematic analysis of application cases of the geometric art in the field of garment; the chapter four emphasizes innovative applied research of the application of geometric art in modern women’s garment; the chapter five summarizes the limitation and future direction ofdevelopment of geometric art garment, and then makes a conclusion and enlightenment.This paper put forward an innovative thinking model through making research on geometric figures and edition types, and combining geometric edition type and three-dimensional space of clothing, which can also make the geometric art develop the garment with a visual impact. The geometric garment will form a strong fashion trend in the future garment market.
