CO2 gas shielded arc welding as a MIG arc welding method is widely used in modern production and engineering; submerged arc welding with good quality, high efficiency, good working conditions, etc., are widely used in shipbuilding, container manufacturing welding and piping in. With the continuous development of modern industry, the welding quality requirements are high, so for the study of the stability of the arc welding process, in particular droplet transfer research is of great significance.Based on CO2 gas shielded welding and submerged arc automatic welding is the main research object, researching the welding process of welding voltage and current signals changed all the time and analyzed the collected welding voltage and current signals by using of Hanover mass analyzer, in order to analyze its welding droplet transfer forms. In the use of Hanover acquisition signals at the same time equipped with Olympus I- SPEED TR high-speed camera to record the welding process or CO2 gas shielded arc welding, Combined electrical signals and high-speed photography analyzing physical parameters of arc welding process change and melt dripping transition form. Combined with high-speed photography taken their true droplet grew up and completed the transition of the entire process to accurately determine droplet shape than the transition; and for submerged arc welding because of the special nature of the welding process, not only using Hanover collect the electrical signals, by means of digital simulation to study its droplet transfer form, we get the following conclusions: There are two main types of CO2 gas shielded arc welding droplet transfer mode, Short circuit transfer, large droplets repel transition, Electrical short circuit occurs in the transition parameters(voltage, current) values are small, the large droplets repel transition is under voltage and current values are larger situation; The submerged arc welding process is relatively stable arc, little unstable short circuit occurs, the droplet transfer are also more stable fine granular slag wall transition.The research of the CO2 gas shielded arc welding and submerged arc welding droplet transfer form and arc stability provides the experimental basis and theoretical foundation for improving the welding process and improve the quality of welding; it is significance to promote the development of CO2 gas shielded arc welding and submerged arc welding.
