In the welding technology, submerged arc welding has a higher weldingefficiency, which is widely used in large-scale pipeline, pressure vessel,shipbuilding and other manufacturing field. Submerged arc welding technologyis one of the most important technology of welding, the welding processparameters optimization and control is the key affecting factor in the quality ofsubmerged arc welding. Therefore, the welding electric parameters, droplettransfer process and arc stability of the physical characteristics has an importantsignificance.Especially, the studying of arc droplet transfer in the process ofwelding.This study with the flux cored wire for submerged arc welding as the mainresearch object.Using welding electrical signal of Analysator Hannoveracquisition, the electric parameters of waveform analysis method, statisticalanalysis method and arc voltage, current U-I diagram, in-depth analysis ofsubmerged arc welding arc physics parameters and droplet transition relations,electrical parameter fluctuations and material relationship, and the use ofmathematical calculation, analysis of arc droplet transfer process of force,showing that short circuit phenomenon does not exist in submerged arc weldingdroplet transfer process, the transfer forms is guided in the form of flux walltransition, and droplet belongs to small drops; welding arc stability is higherwith the increase welding parameters of submerged arc welding, arc stabilityis also improved, and the solid wire welding has a higher stability than the fluxcored wire situation; through force calculation of arc droplet transfer, which thepromoting force of submerged arc welding, gravity is very small, can beneglected, electromagnetic force and the arc force is dominant, and hinderingthe droplet transfer force, such as surface tension, vapor pressure and arc spotforce relatively large, the droplet transition path is changed, the melting dropletsare easily touched to the flux wall, and then guided through the flux wall.Using the Analysator Hannover to collect and analyse the electricparameters of the submerged arc welding can provide the experimental basis and theoretical foundation for the study of arc and droplet transfer welding andsubmerged arc welding, which is of great significance to promote thedevelopment of electric arc welding.
