With the development of new dry process cement production and the gradual improvement of the environmental consciousness, due to cement kiln calcining zone use traditional refractory directly combine with magnesite chrome bricks and the six chromium is produced in the process of production and use which is harmful to human body and environment, therefore, the realization of the cement kiln refractory with free chromium, high quality, long life is the top priority. This topic is in line with the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection, and is under the background of cement kiln of chromium-free chemical technology development at home and abroad, and discuss the development of large dry process cement kiln refractory materials, further investigate the synthesis mechanism of periclase spinel refractory iron aluminum, it put forward new ideas to realize the cement kiln chromium-free and has a certain practical significance. This research through the study of different raw materials, different binder, preparation of periclase – spinel castable iron aluminum can replace the widely used large dry process cement kiln firing magnesite chrome brick, which has the advantages of energy saving, high efficiency, convenient construction. This paper take different magnesia, magnesium, iron ore, hercynite sand and various additives as the research object, and develop cement kiln using magnesium iron and aluminum castable, which has a certain realistic guiding significance to realize the cement kiln chromium-free. Firstly, this paper study the influence of different choice of raw materials on properties of castables, then, study the influence of the amounts of iron and aluminum spinel on properties of castables, finally, study the effect of different additives on the properties of magnesium aluminum iron casting material and coating performance. The research results show that: high purity magnesia, hercynite sand and silica fume are taken as raw material preparation of magnesium iron and aluminum castable, and the testing performance index has reached or exceeded the current cement kiln with magnesite chrome brick index which can substitute for magnesia chrome brick and realize industrial use of cement kiln chromium-free. The research of this paper can make the new chromium-free- magnesium iron and aluminum refractory castable become a new generation of convenient use and high cost performance, environmental advantages of calcining zone in refractory cement rotary kiln.
