The complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of Co(II),Ni(II) nitrate with the first ligand Glycylglycine(Gly-gly) and the second ligand 2,2’-bpy / 4,4’-bpy /Phen in water solution(pH= 8.0-8.2, 2,2’-bpy =2,2’-bipyridine, 4,4’-bpy =4,4’-bipyridine, Phen=1,10-phenanthroline).The compositions of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, TG-DTA, IR, and 1H-NMR methods. The SOD-like activities and the interaction with HSA of these complexes have been investigated in this work. This paper includs the following four parts: 1.SummaryWe first introduced the construction, features, research status and evolve of pyridine compounds.Second,we described the baisic conception, main function and application of superoxide dismutase(SOD),and description the development and achievement of SOD at home and abroad. Third, the biological function and study significance of human serum albumin(HSA) and DNA were depicted in this part.At last,we introduced the antibacterial agent, and discussed the antibacterial mechanism with metal complex. 2.Synthesis and characterization of Co(II) and Ni(II) complexesSix pyridine-Gly-gly-metal complexes was synthesized in mixed solvent. The compositions of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, TG-DTA, IR, and 1H-NMR methods, and chemical constitution and structure were determined by related articles. 3. Research on SOD-like activity and interaction with HSA of Co(II), Ni(II) complexesThe SOD-like activities of these complexes have been investigated by NBT reduction method in this work, the IC50 been calculated, and influence factor has been discussed. Fluorescence spectra and Circular dichroism are applied to study interaction between human serum albumin(HSA) and complexes. The quenching mechanism of fluorescence of HSA by complexes is found to be a static quenching procedure and the binding constant K and binding sites n are calculated. The research results shown that the precense of complexes can cause a change of the human serum albumin conformation, and the reasons for the change have been discussed. 4. Research on antibacterial property and interaction with DNA of Co(II), Ni(II) complexesThe complexes have been tested for the bacteriostatic activities which shows that the bacteriostatic activity of the complex is fine to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, and antibacterial mechanism been discussed. The interaction with DNA of Co(II), Ni(II) complexes was reaserched by fluorescence spectra, and action mode of EB-DNA with complexes was estimated. The circular dichroism showed that DNA has effect on complex constellation. 5. Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Bioactivity of Gly-gly-Co( II) ComplexGly-gly-Co(II) metal complexe was synthesized in mixed solvent. The compositions of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, TG-DTA, IR, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The SOD-like activities of complexe has been investigated by NBT reduction method, the IC50 been calculated, and influence factor has been discussed in this work.
