Large storage tanks with an extremely dangerous chemical and physical properties of petroleum products, In the event of a serious accident, Accidents will bring incalculable harm to the safety of human life and property safety, environment, etc. Researches in the field of tank leakage has a certain level, but the level of research in China’s western regions are still not perfect construction equipment such as tanks, daily management of personnel issues such as the lack of specification, In order to obtain oil tank spill hazards, fires caused by the scope of the leak, we use qualitative, quantitative approach to the oil tank leaks and fires were studied.This paper introduces the research status at home and abroad related to storage tanks leak,From a practical sense as a starting point,This paper describes the basic characteristics of the body of research, The risk characteristics of the use of statistical methods and structural failure modes are classified tanks, And analysis of the main effects of the accident situation after the occurrence of leakage tank; for fire incident caused by leaking storage tanks were statistically detailed classification. Through the investigation and analysis of mathematical models to determine the tank wall for storage tanks leak, flanges, valves leak, the local connection leaks tube radius mathematical model liquid pool fire, flame height, fire thermal radiation radius of influence is calculated; CFD technology application performance is analyzed in oil tank fire.
