Three kinds novel asymmetrical phthalocyanines compounds, 2-(p-carboxylphenoxy)-9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24-hexaalkoxyphthalocyanine cobalt( Ⅱ)[(RO)6(OphCOOH)PcCo( Ⅱ)](R=n-C4H9, n-C5H11, n-C10H21), have been synthesized by statistical condensation method in n-pentyl alcohol or n-butyl alcohol and in catalysis of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undec-7-ene(DBU). Three symmetrical phthalocyanines compounds, β-octaalkoxyphthalocyanine cobalt(Ⅱ)[(RO)8PcCo(Ⅱ)](R= n-C4H9, n-C5H11, n-C10H21), have been synthesized at the same time. They were characterized by UV-vis absorption spectra, elemental analysis, IR spectra and TOF-MS.Electronic absorption spectra of these complexes have been measured in N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF), tetrahydrofuran(THF) and chloroform(CHCl3), dichloro- methane(CH2Cl2) and toluene. The effects and the effect order of the substitute groups, solvents and concentrations were studied.The catalytic oxidation properties of the asymmetric phthalocyanine catalyst,2-(p-carboxyphenoxy)-9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24-hexaalkoxyphthalocyanine cobalt(II) [(RO)6(OphCOOH)PcCo(Ⅱ)](R=n-C4H9, n-C5H11, n-C10H21) for sodium sulfite were studied in an oxygen environment by carrying oxygen method. The results show that catalytic activity of the same catalyst was different for different concentration solution and the different catalysts has different catalytic activities. 2-(p-carboxylphenoxy)-9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24-hexapentyloxy phthalocyanine cobalt(Ⅱ) [(n-C5H11O)6(OphCOOH)PcCo(Ⅱ)] are better than others in the same conditions. Na2SO3 was completely oxidized in 80 min.The catalytic oxidation activities of different catalysts for 2-mercaptoethanol were studied under normal temperature and pressure. The results show that the three asymmetric phthalocyanine cobalt catalysts have good catalytic properties. catalytic oxidation performance:(n-C5H11O)6(OphCOOH)PcCo( Ⅱ)>(n-C10H21O)6(OphCOOH)PcCo( Ⅱ)>(n-C4H9O)6(OphCOOH)PcCo(Ⅱ) in the same amount of catalyst. When the amount of catalyst was different,6mg 2-(p-carboxyphenoxy)-9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24-hexapentyloxy phthalocyanine cobalt(II) had the best catalytic effect for 40 mL 0.1 mol.L-1 mercaptoethanol solution.
