Automotive panel stamping is not only the key link in the production and manufacturing of the automobile body, but also the most important thing of the vehicle assembly. Automotive panel has lots of complicated features, such as the complicated shape,the high surface quality requirement and the forming difficulty, which easily cause some forming defects. In the process of the automotive panel stamping, the traditional way often require more time to repeat debug and modify, prolong the development cycle, can’t ensure the quality and increase the cost. With the application of CAE, especially the complete stamping process simulation, the development cycle has been reduced greatly. And it is of great realistic significance.This paper selects the parcel shelf as the research object. The research goal is to assist the product development. At the same time, we can grasp the process quality based on the data statistics of the stamping production. Firstly, the paper discusses some related theory about the plastic deformation and the CAE simulation. Secondly, this paper introduces some characteristic of the parcel shelf, such as the quality requirements, the structural features and the forming features. Thirdly, model is built,which is the core part of the simulation. At last, process procedures and the technological parameters are worked out. This paper designs more groups of arguments. By contrasting the result, one of them is chosen to guide the actual production.In the process of quality control, we use some quality control tools, such as pareto diagram, cause and effect diagram, control chart and MINITAB, to grasp the quality of the process. Firstly, data samples for statistic analysis are collected. Then, data samples collected are enter them into the MINITAB, some relevant diagrams are draw. By researching this diagrams, we discover the potential problem and some improvement approaches.Adopting the complete stamping process simulation and the quality control in the process, which reduces the development cycle and controls the quality effectively. This research result provides a theoretical guidance for the production activities. Meanwhile, it can improve the enterprise competitiveness.
