At present, China is in the stage of high-speed urbanization. As the world’s big emitters. China’s per capita carbon emissions are beyond the EU for the first time in 2014. The sum total of China’s CO2 emissions is beyond Europe and the United States. As the large number of row of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, will lead to a series of serious climate problems and serious threat to the world people’s life safety, restricts the sustainable development of the world economy. Therefore, it is admit of no delay to research of the relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions and suitable a way to reduce emissions. Yangtze river delta region is the most fast economic development in China and urbanization process of the highest level. As a good template of China’s economic development, It has a practical significance for researching Yangtze river delta region of the urbanization and the relationship between the carbon emissions and the influence of urbanization on carbon emissions. It not only has the vital practical significance of holding the direction of the Yangtze river delta carbon reduction policies and looking for a low carbon economy development model, but also contribute to formulate emissions mitigation policy of the national urbanization. This paper calculated carbon emissions and urbanization rate of Yangtze river delta region, analyzed the characteristic of Yangtze river delta region of carbon emissions. Get through co-integration analysis checkout long-term co-integration relationship of Yangtze river delta region urbanization and carbon emissions. Used vector error correct model to analysis the short-term dynamic relationship between carbon emissions and urbanization. Used Granger causality verify the causality between urbanization and carbon emissions. At last, by extending the LMDI decomposition model to influence factors of carbon decomposition. Analysis of the influence factors of carbon emissions in the process of urbanization, and than, through the theory of segmentation results put forward policy suggestions. The results prove that, urbanization and there is long-term co-integration relationship between carbon emissions and full of elasticity in a short time in Yangtze river delta region. Yangtze river delta region’s urbanization is the one-way granger reason for the increase in carbon emissions.Because of LMDI, urbanization in carbon emissions by energy structure and energy intensity, industrial structure and economic growth, the influence of factors such as population size. Growth factors are the main reason for the increase in carbon emissions, energy is the main inhibition reason carbon emissions intensity change...
