In present, the prospect of the furniture industry in China is much prosperous with the status of one of the largest furniture manufacturing countries in the global market, and also the considerable scale and dramatic increasing in domestic markets are also the ideal platform for the continuous development and prosperous future of the furniture industry in China. Whilst, the competition and pressures would be much more fierce than before, because of the fierce international competition, the continuous increase in raw material and labour costs especially for those medium and small-sized enterprises. As for the much mature and standardized management process accumulated by the overseas furniture manufacturing corporations, which requires the domestic manufacturing enterprises to make adjustment and innovation through combining the industrialization and informatization more effectively in order to improve the productivity and efficiency in manufacturing process, reduce the cost of production, in addition, the effective combination of industrialization and informatization is pretty beneficial for the domestic furniture enterprises to achieve the standardized and fine management. Recently, the construction in informatization has been much more significant, there are considerably quantity of large and medium sized enterprises having reach much higher level in informatization manufacturing, whilst, as for the small-sized enterprises especially for the private enterprises, the informatization is not popular and acceptable attributed to the personnel structure, management standardization and financial issues. The majority of domestic small-sized enterprises only applied standard accounting processing modules, while the other enterprises only conduct management process through traditionally manual approach. In addition, there are minority of enterprises apply accounting system and warehousing management modules, and the informatization management model has been established as far as they are considered; besides, there are also some enterprises utilized procurement management, sales management modules, and from their consideration, the informatization management has also been reached. In fact, the construction of informatization is the sole for manufacturing industry, which is not even existed in most of domestic enterprises.Debang as the medium-sized furniture manufacturing enterprise located in Haining, Zhejiang province has realized the significantly importance of improving the competitive advantage through enhancing the management in informatization. According to those issues and repeat research, this thesis would like to take Wansheng sofa manufacturing factory owned by Debang Inc as an example to analyze and study the design and feasibility of automatic production scheduling. What’s more, this thesis has ensured the significance of automatic production scheduling system, and the basic theory and technologies utilized during the achieving process, elaborated the implement manners of the automatic production scheduling system, and also established the distribution of extension framework for the further construction of informatization for the enterprise. Also this thesis also introduces relevant theories such as ERP, MRP Ⅱfor designing and developing the production scheduling system. As for the automatic production scheduling system, which utilized the VB. NET as the programming language and SQL SERVER to exploit and achieve, and achieve the basic information maintenance in UFIDA, and make the connection of the database with UFIDA.In the end, the content of this thesis can be summarized as following, the streamline of the automatic production scheduling is the production plan in order to make uniform objective and domination to the varieties resources created by the enterprise, which is pretty beneficial for the enterprise to obtain the active feedback on effective logistics, information flow and cash flow. Plus, the automatic production scheduling system is also beneficial for the enterprise to making much more accurate and detailed plan, enhancing the production efficiency, reducing the manual fault, obtaining the better production plan, making forecast for longer period plan and improving the demand in raw materials, in the meantime, improving the information construction for the basic statistics, making reservation of the interface for the analysis and digging of statistics.
