Control System Study Of Electro-slag Remelting Furnace In Baosteel Special Steel Unit

With the development of national economy, the market demand for high-end steel is more and more strong. The production load of import ESR in Baosteel has become full, and because of poor control precision and outdated equipment and so on r eason, domestic ESR cannot afford high-end manufacturing tasks. It becomes imperative to study ESR control system principle, improve the control performance of domestic ESR, build high precision multi-function ESR equipment and improve the stability of the product quality.This article mainly base on a 500 kg atmosphere protective ESR control system in Baosteel special steel unit. It introduces the process characteristics and equipment of ESR technology, design the process and equipment configuration scheme. To improve the stability of the platform, gantry frame structure was adopted to design high precision weighing system to e nsure accurate melting speed calculation and the stability of the whole process of automatic control. It takes PLC as the core of control system, adopting fieldbus(Profibus) to connected components at the scene, using industrial Ethernet to connect system PLC system and the upper computer. The Proficy Machine Edition is used to develop PLC program. The iFix is used to develop HMI.This thesis also studies the kernels remelting control scheme of ESR, in view of the rich function and high precision control, the voltage swing control is used in this case. This scheme is n ot only running stability and small fluctuations, but can achieve a variety of functions, Compared with the traditional ESR, its performance has a lot of ascension.This thesis designs a new human-machine interface(HMI), which is not only easy to operate, the function is all ready, and accord with the requirement of modern ESR process control.
